What Are Dungeons & Dragons Dice?

When someone refers to Dungeons & Dragons dice, they are actually thinking about the dice sets normally used to play D&D.

Even if a regular dice set usually has seven dice, you can normally bring to your DnD games a combination of one or more of six different types of dice, based on the number of sides each die has.

• 4-sided dice (one or more), usually referred to as D4.
• 6-sided dice (one or more), usually referred to as D6.
• 8-sided dice (one or more), usually referred to as D8.
